Our Residential Construction Work Process
Here are the main steps that our Residential Construction team take, from the initial idea to when our team completes the work.
Design and Preparation
In the first phase, as the client, you will begin to design your dream home or investment project on paper. You will determine the costs, select an architect, devise the plans to be drawn up, survey the land, and apply for permits if required. After this stage, you will seek quotes from professional residential contractors like us to build your dream home. It may seem like a lot of paperwork, but these tasks are essential for everything that follows.
Construction and Framing
This is where the construction work begins. The site is cleared, levelled, and excavated, and the teams commence on the basic plumbing foundation and groundwork. Framing is when the house we're building looks like a house. Our residential team build the home's skeleton on the foundation, building walls and roof trusses.
Lock Up
This is a stage when the house can be locked and secured. In this phase, the windows, doors, and roof are installed. Insulation goes into this stage, and all the electrical and plumbing systems are ready for installation.
Fixture and Fittings
This is where all the fine details of the residential build come together. We install all the interior decorations, such as countertops, splashbacks, tiling, skirting boards, joinery work, and paint the walls, flooring, etc. We also install all heating and cooling systems at this stage.
Completion and Handover
In the final phase, our team adds finishing touches to light fittings, door handles, etc. We also install the appliances, complete all outdoor work, and begin cleaning up. We will walk through the property with the client to check for any defects that need addressing. Once the client has approved everything, the handover can start. This starts with final inspections, paperwork, and giving them the keys. After this, the client can move in or prepare the property to be sold on the market.
